WP: What questions are you asked when you're interviewed for these interim positions?
DW: The first one they ask is if I am any good at what I do. They'll look at my track record to see what kind of results I've had. On my last assignment, the average surgical case volume before I got there was about 10 to 12 a day; when I left it was up to between 25 and 30. They also want to know if I have the skill set that creates excitement and engagement with the surgeons. Can I improve the relationship with the hospital and can I build relationships and engage the staff?
